Anyone know if there are any ways for US Citizens to play LAY bets on horses?

Although, here in the US, horse betting is 100% legal, I cannot seem to find any bookmakers that offer lay bets on horses (betting that a particular horse will lose, instead of win). Over in Europe, betting against horses is well known and many people do that, especially on the betting exchanges, such as betfair.

Does anyone know of any legal, legitimate race books here in the US that allow lay betting?

Not that i'm aware of, no. Betfair is increasing their presence here in the States, so perhaps it'll be available in the future. Probably not anytime soon, but you never know.

Don't think there is a site in the U.S..But check out ehorsex..They allow U.S. citizens to bet for or against horses on American tracks..I hit a few long shots at that site a few years ago..Got some very generous odds..Only layed some bets against horses a few times. That takes a much bigger bankroll.
