Unique situation to be aware of today

Back on May 22 @ Golden Gate, a couple of 2yo firsters named Ammunition (Hollendorfer) and American Wildcat (Bonde) battled on the lead thru solid fractions and finished 4 lengths clear of the field at the wire, with Ammunition winning by less than a length.

Here's the situation for today:

Ammunition is entered in the Lost in the Fog Stakes @ Golden Gate, Race 7.

American Wildcat is entered in amaiden race @ Hollywood, Race 10.

The stakes race goes first, more than an hour beforehand. So keep your eye on what Ammunition does there, for obvious reasons.

Btw, there's also a Hollendorfer horse in the Hollywood race named Western Mood, who worked heads-up from the gate with Ammunition on May 17.

Ammunition dueled on the lead today with recent Hollywood winner River's Chapel before tiring late to finish off the board. Ran pretty well, i'd say, at least as it pertains to American Wildcat possibly wiring this maiden field today.

Incidentally, the winner if the GG stakes was a Bonde first-time starter named Road Ready, who had worked the fastest 3 furlongs at the Barrett's sale. Road Ready and American Wildcat have not trained together.
