trip to Finger lakes and Woodbine

I am planning a trip to Finger lakes then woodbine at end of August. Any suugestions where to stay close by and not too expensive ?? Going to catch Mon,tues at Finger lakes then wed thur fri and maybe sat at Woodbine

    If you google Farmington, NY--hotels, there is a list of places to stay that are very close to the track. I have not been there for a few years but most of the places are clean and not too expensive.

    Dodger- I am looking to do Saratoga and Woodbine either last week of Aug/ first of Sept.. Will let you know if I find anything for the Woodbine area ( Toronto, mississauga)

    Finger Lakes Race Track is in the heart of Wine Country, I would suggest staying a little ways a way more towards the lakes. Finger Lakes really isnt the greatest, I dont know what you have going on there maybe just some enjoyment on the lakes but Fort Erie is a great Alternative! You can stay up in Niagara Falls or Buffalo and take the trip over..... Giacomo is a great hotel in Niagara Falls a little pricey but usually under 200 during the week...... Just a thought. I go up to Fort Erie a lot and for a low level track they do pretty good!


    Woodbine, great track but its like a lot of the bigger tracks hard to get from the paddock to bet to the track in good time- (Not an issue at all at Fort Erie) but you can find tons of places to stay up there... You can go into Tororonto or stay out by the airport as well!

    One more note.... Im a big fan of Horse racing, and I watch the Quater Horse racing on TVG on the weekends and I am excited to see them in person. Fort Erie is doing a pilot program with Quater Horse racing this year. In the August they will have Quater Horse racing on 3 Saturdays! So if you in the area maybe check that out on a saturday.

    Thanks for all the info! I have my hotels booked for the trip as of an hour ago !! Had to settle for the Super 8 in Henrietta NY Then found a good bargain in Mississauga got a room at Studio 6 for the trip. I am taking the trip alone so not lokking for an thing fancy.
