When I watched Beau Croix run last time he left an impression. This three-year-old trained by Barclay Tagg is on a mission. Forget the fact he was posting his best ever run in six races. Beau Croix got away okay to be fifth inside two in the early going. I liked the way he cornered on the first turn. Castellano had to check him moving to the half(-1) and he had to check him again waiting for running room on the far turn. When Castellano set him down he came on to get the lead. I loved his trying and reaching style coming to the wire. It appears this colt has figured things out and I'll be surprised if he does not deliver. Play Beau Croix(6) to win and he's 3-1 on the opening line.
