Del Mar Race #6

Sea Rascal appears to be the horse to beat, winning his last two over the course. His ratings have improved, he shows healthy activity between starts, continues to climb the class ladder and switches from an apprentice to the leading jockey. All that said, he is 7 years old, has never won at 7F and is due to throw in a stinker (sooner or later). Baffort's horses are always dangerous, but Charm N Chuck drops two levels in class and has never won at Del Mar or at 7F.
In a race without a pacesetter, Eqiparado may offer some value. The Avila claim changed style last time and set a blistering pace for about 7F, in his last race at a 1 1/16. According to his record, 7F may be his best distance. He was a recent Vet Scratch, but Avila keeps him above the level he claimed him. Given the early speed he showed last time, the rail may not be a hindrance. Wire to wire.
