In her first try, Star Presence rode an outside bias sprinting, while needing the race. Her effort was BTL, in that she lost more ground than she was beaten, while finishing well. What was most noteworthy however, was that she appeared to depart from Baffort's typical ready to fire training pattern, to outrun her drills.

She has worked steadily since, adds blinkers, and stretches out to a mile in start #2. With AP Indy on the bottom, this $450k 2 year purchase may relish 2-turning. 4-1 ML is a fair price. The favorite looks like the lone speed, has two races under her belt, and has run second to two future Stakes fillies. Hopefully, Star Presence will make it three seconds in a row for Indian Gracey.
