Alot of speed in this race where several are coming in off long rests.
#1 HIGHEST REGARDS, 6/5, Regally bred Pletcher colt had one start back in june, 7 months ago, where he wired a field at Belmont in a very fast time. Ships back up from Florida winter base to run vs N Y company. Anything close to his only start smokes this field, but a lengthy absence smells of bone chip or other physical problems. Beware!
#4 PRIVATE RULES, 4-1, Ran a good 2nd last out behind the impressive Dr. Disco. Should benefit from a speed dual up front.
#8 FIREPOLE, 12-1, Connections really like his chances at a big price. Had bone chip removed last September, started working again in January with alternating maintenance works and latest work was a bullet move. Trainer Weaver says that he has matured physically from a 2yo to a 3yo more than any horse he has had. Could need a race or two, or could be sitting on a BIG EFFORT at a BIG PRICE.
