4 yo and up, F & M $50k clm n2l, going 1 mile on turf. On paper, this is a strange race in that there is not a single entry who wants to go out front and take the lead. As a result, I'm betting that one of these will change tactics and go out and set the pace and be hard to beat, and that horse is:
#3 LA REINE LIONNE, 3-1,
this lightly raced fillie comes in for a trainer who has only started five times at the meet, but won with three of them(60%). Last time out on the Gulfstream grass against much better was a close 5th. It looks like she has found a very good spot in here today, and Freddy Lenclud on board only helps her chances that much more. Expect her to be forwardly placed against these plodders and bring home top honors.
#8 Raggle Taggle, 4-1, comes in for top connections and her last two at Tampa put her in the mix. Late running type should come late, along with
#6 Split Pot, 10-1, who may very well pass all but top selection late in the going. Best late speed figures by a mile.
#10 Gimmearide, 7/2, could stay close, but lack of late kick a major concern. Minor rewards at best.
Win/Place on #3, and
key in the exotics with the 6-8-10
