LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP)Jockey Robby Albarado has been arrested on charges he assaulted his wife in Kentucky.
Louisville Police said Albarados wife told officers who arrived at the couples home late Thursday night that a discussion about their relationship became heated. He was charged with assault and other counts.
Police said Albarado is accused of breaking his wifes phone and trying to strangle her, leaving red marks around her throat. Emergency Medical Services was called but she refused treatment, according to the police report.
Albarado is scheduled to be arraigned April 5. There was no record of an attorney for him.
