Well looks like we are close to a finished project here. I am leaning towards doing monthly $ $99 DRF form subscriptions for a couple months to see how it does in real time. Any thoughts from anyone?
Hi guys, just a quick update. I started messing with the program again, and now I have fairly good numbers coming back:
roi (win ) = 0.337096774193548 ( place ) = 0.0822580645161289, (show) = -0.0991935483870967
balance levels: (wps ) = 165.8, 134.2, 111.7 - races bet on = 62, 308 / 1208 couldn't be ranked in class
number of wins: (wps ) = 3/6/12
positive ROIs for both win and place, and < $10 from breaking even on show.
The bizarre thing is that I don't think I really changed anything from the last time I ran it. I wouldn't declare victory yet, because these numbers aren't quite ready to be trusted, but it might be worth starting to look at at least.
I was filling in some of the missing class types, and ran into a lot of ALW restriction codes. Can you give me a quick summary of what

mean ?
Especially how would they rank in this table:

One other thing:
the daily data I've been scraping from drf.com has been missing the starters odds. This means I cannot run this program on todays races. If you guys want me to try running this every day for real $, I need to have an input that includes all this info: odds for each horse, race type, race codes ( such as N2X ), and I think thats it. I actually dont need the odds for that day, because the program would just output ("play this horse IF his odds were > 14-1 " ) and then you'd have to follow the odds up to post time.
Let me know what you guys think about this. Unfortunately, that typically means buying some kind of subscription. But we dont know till we try, right ?

As for the designations:
N2L Non-winners 2 races lifetime.
N1X Non winners of one race other than (usually) Maiden, claiming, or starter allowance.
N3L Non-winners 3 races lifetime.
NC An allowance race with no conditions (maybe?)
N2R I'm guessing non winner of 2 races, but not 100 percent.
It's gonna be tough to fit them in the bigger picture without knowing the claiming price of the n2l's, as they're usually run at a higher and lower price at most tracks.
The allowance (N1X) is most likely the same as your 181 #12 Allowance NW1 Any Value.
