I'm going to be in Wash D. C this weekend . Do you have any idea if it is feasible to get from West End DuPont Circle to Delaware Park? I won't have a vehicle so I guess I'm relagated to using the Metro and then taxi.

I'd sure like to catch the Delaware races on Saturday!

Delaware Park is 104 miles from DC. A rental car would be the most convenient way to go

Thanks, but I was wanting to see the Delaware feature in person. As much money as I plan on wagering on that race I want to be there in person!LOL!

Turns out the track is alot further than I thought. I guess I could take amtrack from Union Station in D.C. to wilmington and then get a cab, but the whole trip will probably take 2 hours plus. I could rent a car and drive there, but I would have to find a DD to get me back.

Any and all ideas are welcomed!

Track is actually quite nice as they have a pretty sizable casino on the grounds. You'll also be able to see all the computer screens they put in in anticipation of legalized sports betting, which are essentially unused now. I got to track early one Saturday and was able to just walk out on apron and watch the horses being worked out. Attendance is pretty spotty, but I have not been there on one of their big days, but it looks like they have a pretty big backyard area that gets used on days like this. Race card looks pretty solid as well. Unfortunately, other than Laurel, which is a bit of a hike from D.C., there are no other simulcast options in the area

john...the best way imo would to get a rental...for you its going to be about a 2 hour drive...they do have hotels right down the street from delaware...i would try any local transit to be honest...
