5th Race Clm $35k 3 & up purse $29k 7 f Widener Turf

#2 ZIPTRONIC, 15-1
This NY bred has been changing barns between Linda Rice and Gary Contessa for WMS. Contessa got him back in last thru clm again and this 5yo gelding has had two recent works which show a sign of rounding into top form. Moves up in class and stretches out, two factors which will keep the price right. Contessa goes with bug, Frenchie Ryan Curatolo, his new go-to turf guy, and gets in light at 116 lbs. Gary Contessa says that this old timer has never looked better and I am led to believe a big effort is forthcoming , and at a big price! Watch the tote board for early play.

#3 ISNTLOVEJUSTGRAND, 7/2
Late pace figs makes this 3yo a player. Gets in light at 118 lbs and keeps Javier. Should make a move late and figures to have plenty left for his big run.

#7 HAVE YOU EVER, 3-1
Repole Stable claim from David Jacobson for $50k. He has been off for two months following a disaster trip on a muddy Bel main track back in July. Typical TAP work pattern shows readiness and the early to mid Sept works indicate that he may lead at every call. Connections will cause the price to be 4/5 or so.

WPS # 2
Ex Bx 2--3--7

GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

    Never mind!

NYRA took the 5th off-turf and Ziptronic and Isntlovejustgrand come out.

Straight from Searling's mouth: "Turf racing will be fine very, very soon".

I mean, when your turf courses are located in the Far Rockaway WETLANDS, you expect to have some taken off when it rains. Right?

It's shit like this (and all the BIASES on the dirt tracks) that make NYRA pretty much UNplayable.

I am told that there is not a damned thing wrong with both turf tracks today. Probably closer to firm than yielding. Yet, this is Wednesday, and this weekend has more first rate races, so why take a chance, right?

The result is that there are some pretty screwed up races today.

In the 7th, which also comes off, Leah Gyarmati has a mto that she really wanted to run. #10 Quiet Favorite gets in and word is this one is ready to run a big race. Leah does not have the best numbers for a trainer, but she tries hard and all the horsemen adore her and pull for her. She worked for Mr. Jerkins for around 10 years and knows her trade very well. The #5 looks good also in here, so Take a look at a 5/10--5/10---4/6 --4/6 exotic.

    Good Luck!
