Question from a NOOB

Hey, can someone tell me how to tell if a race is Quarter Horse or thoroughbreds in the DRF? Right now I'm looking at a race card for Los Alamitos. It's an old one from July. I'm just using it to work on my skills. There are several races at 4 1/2 Furlongs and longer, and several of 870 Yds and shorter. I'm guessing the 4 1/2 Furlong and longer races are thoroughbreds and the shorter sprints are quarter horses. Is it that simple? Is there something on the form that will give me a definitive answer?

Any race listed in furlongs will be for thoroughbreds. Any race listed in yards would be quarterhorses. Pretty sure that's correct.
