CD R8:

#4, Jocata: appears primed for top effort today.

used the 4 on top and had the cheapo exacta --
    11 ran 4th @ 25:1 and would've returned a decent tri.

    Churchill Downs - Race 8
    # Win Place Show
    4 $7.60 $3.80 $2.60
    7 . $3.40 $2.60
    9 . . $4.60

    $2.00 Exacta 4-7 $20.60

    CD R10:

#9, Juju: likes to win and is cutting back a furlong -- figures to get a nice setup

#10, Turf Warrior: cutting back, not tested on dirt, but might be a sneaky play here. Bet to win if > 20:1 and exactas with #9.

    ***************************
#7, Variant: very nice race over the track/distance this past July -- should get a piece but won't use on top
#12, Home of the Gold: will be running late -- must use UNDER in exotics

    # Win Place Show
    9 $7.00 $3.60 $2.80
    12 . $3.40 $3.00
    11 . . $4.20

    WO R1-2 -- Early Double

Don't see much value here -- the favorites will be hard to beat

    R1:

    between

#1, Makar: bound to wire a field at some point
#8, Ready Response: dropping and is the one to beat
#5, The Wars Over: if I were to use a longshot it'd be this one

    R2:

    between
#9, Closing Scene: premature move last out; cutback should allow her to stalk -- Jordan THE JUICER conditions this one; so, either she gallops (if loaded up) or tanks at low odds, otherwise.
#8, WHeres the Bedroom: dropping and will probably be the pacesetter -- 'probably' because Ramsammy is up and anything is bound to happen.
#6, Gin Queen: the only long one that makes a little bit of sense

not worth going beyond 1,8 with 9/8 in doubles, given the early prices

    What might've been:

    Woodbine T-bred - Race 6
    # Win Place Show
    1 $7.20 $4.40 $3.30
    6 . $8.70 $5.40
    7 . . $7.00

    $2.00 Exacta 1-6 $68.70

Had the exacta, I liked the 6 and 1 best, BUT

Caroline Duquet outgamed Melanie Pinto and Emma Wilson late with the 35:1 shot and cost me the tri and super

Save in R9 with #11, Minguns Prospect. Singh is doing some fine front end running today. Suspect he'll be out there winging with this one.

what a fuckin' joke: Jennifer Reid is standing straight up on the 13, the LENGTH of the sTRETCH, she's so pitiful on a horse, and Moreno and Contreras still can't run her down. Way to finish like pussies.
