Gulfstream - Race 2

#8 Colony Strike (6/1 ml)

Pletcher firster worked h/u from the gate on Jan. 15 with Liberty Bound, who came out of that drill to win by 4 lengths a week later. The Jan. 1 drill came with Big Creek, who a week later led a two-turn race for 6 furlongs before tiring to third. Also note, this one is half-brother to Pletcher's stakes winner Colizeo. Also be aware, Pletcher has scratched his other entrant here. As you may remember, he did the same thing earlier in the meet when Thunder Moccasin (the remaining entry) scored a big win for us. Everything points to a good run here.

HRT record:

84 for 315 (27%)

$697.40 mutuels ($8.30 avg)

Cripes, i missed that one. Thanks for posting anyway...

PS - Another Pletcher firster taht i gave out in the debut (and lost by a half-length) came back and won today @ Belmont. Once again, by about 5 lengths or something. Paid 3/5 though, no way i could take that price. Tried to beat him with a Kenneally firster who had been working with an unraced barnmate who's listed @ 2/1 in a similar race tomorrow. Frustrating game sometimes.
