The 9th is a very good $75k stakes for 3 yo fillies going 6 furlongs. Rudy ships in with #4 Agave Kiss, who will be hammereds at the windows. However, she will get plenty of company on the front and her 4 for 4 record was against much less, and she carries high weight.
#6 HONEY WONDERGIRL, 5-1
Goes against all angles---namely, a maiden winner first out now jumping into stakes against winners. Yet, her only race was visually impressive and her run out going 5 1/2 caught the eye of many. Gets in with 8 pound weight break over Agave Kiss and her late pace speed figure in her first race puts her right there. Local horse with sneaky trainer Guadalupe Preciado should get a dream trip on the outside of the speed and pick them off late in the stretch. Watch the tote board as this is supposed to be a backside play. Let's hope they are right and that this race falls apart and Honey Wondergirl gets home at a decent price!
