Currently muddy and 3,6,8 off the turf but 5 & 10 still on? Hmmm..
Anyhow the Vagrancy...assuming it stays wet Kid Kate is coming off a layoff for layoff beast Chad Brown. Believe this mare will be decent value here with Dutrow showing an entry and Hushion with logical chalk....not to mention She's Cheeky who ran 2nd to Groupie at Keenland earlier this year.
Kid Kate has a monster Thomlinson number and is 4 for 5 on the wet. 1 for 2 at the distance, 7 of 18 lifetime. Getting weight from most. Past speed figs competitive.
There's not a lot of speed in here so have to see how the track is playing later in the day. Very evenly matched group IMO.
The angle with Kid Kate is purely - Chad Brown hits a 34% clip off the layoff (which means he not only has his horses fit but knows where to spot them too)...and the fact this mare loves a wet track while past speed figs suggest she can be competitive here.
If the value is there its worth a look.
Good Luck
