    Contrary to published reports, Doctors refused to release JV on Sunday as was being reported.

    Severe lacerations to his liver as a result of being stepped on by the horse behind him. Internal bleeding is the main concern. The collarbone fracture is not a clean break and ortho's believe that a plate could be inserted which would help heal the break and allow JV to be back in time for Spa meet. Right now, his liver is the main problem and doctors are keeping him in Kentucky until this issue is resolved. This is the same shoulder he broke abouit 6 or 7 years ago.
