Rail Plays--Thursday

No bigger play against than a firster drawing the dreadded rail post. Poor Ramon Dominguez gets caught here in three races today! Talk about bad luck.

Race 3, 2yo mdn 5 1/2
#1 Volastic, 2-1, may be fast enough to overcome the bad post. My Maryland connections say this is one good looking colt and this is tipped by Trainer Johnny Salzman debut in NY as opposed to Mid-Atlantic. It all depends on the break, and a obvious lack of any gate works is a concern, and a big concern, but I'm going to take a shot that Ramon can get him out and clear from the beginning.

Race 6, 2yo NY Bred
Word is that Mike Hushion has a live firster, #5 In Harm's Way, 5-1. Impressive gate works and is said to be ready to fire a good one. Edgar Prado has been cold as ice for the last couple of years, but he seems to be showing up a little more lately. WP and ex bx 1-4-5.

Delaware 4th
#6 Green Wave Girl, 3-1, is trained by Ann Merryman, and she has hers ready to fire on turf races. She is hooked tough and Ann thinks a ex bx 2-4-6 is a good play!

GOOD LUCK TO ALL!
