Here's an interesting clocker report on a 12-1 shot in the last race at Del Mar.

EYESABLAZIN Jul 29 DMR 5 :59.1H M FT B+
Monster drill for the level, we picked him up at the 1/2 mile pole outside Champions Gate (57.3) looking best outside that one in 22.2, 45.3 (official time cannot be right). Really was not asked, either.---Grade: B+

I mean this is a 20k maiden - and the horse is outworking a Stakes winner going maybe 57 and change. Mistake?

FB you got something similar from your guys? DC?

At 12 / 1 it's worth it to see if it was or wasn't a mistake

My late Pick-4 (well one of them) got a little lucky hitting a $42 horse. Wish I had used the 10 in the second leg on this ticket, but whatever, let's try to get lucky.

    Del Mar 5 $0.50 P4 1,2,3,5,6,7,8,9,10 / 1,3 / 2,6 / 6,9,11 $54.00 $0.00

We'll be alive to Eyesablazin regardless, now. But we really want to see a 2 or 6 here in the 7th.

    Del Mar 6 $1.00 P3 1,3,10 / 2,3,4,5,6 / 6,9,11 $45.00 $0.00
    Del Mar 6 $1.00 P3 1,3,4,10 / 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 / 6,9,11 $84.00 $0.00

The race became a debacle. The 11 Eyesablazin ran off (but still started??????), and while he was running the 9 hit his head and scratched. At least the 6 won (by 15 lengths), and we cashed a little bit in here.
