Hopeful Stakes

Twelve days out and the country's best two year olds are getting in their final blow-outs in preparation. If the race were run on Travers day, my guess would be that Bern Identity would be the horse to beat. He worked four days ago going 4f in 46:2.

TAP has no less than eight horses nominated, but some are working well and others invisible since their last winning races. Three went this morning, two in eye-popping style and one in a very suspect form. Shanghai Bobby was said to look terrible. Much anticipated work after impressive win was clocked in a pedistrian 4f in :50 flat. On-lookers say that something is amiss?

Conversely, Palace Malice and Overanalyze went 4f in :47 flat, best of the lot, and word is both looked much more developed than most other 2yo's on the grounds. Either one of these could give Bern Identity all he wants. Others to keep an eye open for if they are making the race, in no particular order, are as follows:

Jacosity
Carried Interest( hurt)
Onetwentyeight
Majestic Hussar
Fortify
Lawn Man
Violence
Drum Roll

Should be a good one! If any of you get any clockers info or other pertinent info, post up!

He was actually scratched out of the Saratoga Special.
