Ramon had a super meet... no question about it. It drives me effin crazy when NY players never give the guy his due . Its always a Yeah But when they talk about him.
All you hear
1) "He only dominates Aqueduct's winter meet" Even though he typically takes both Belmont meets and has won 2 out of the last 3 Saratoga meets. Despite without being the "go to guy" for the win factory barns such as TAP & Chad Brown
2) "Only wins cheap races"...never wins graded stakes. Arlington Million & Breeders Cup Juvy race last year to name a few
3) He has a shitty ROI
4) This year he sets the record at Saratoga and the BS is only about how its an extended meet & they run more races . WTF he hit the board at a 56% rate
When he wins its always a measured ride. He seldom comes up short or gets nailed because of being lazy. He is generally in a good position. I have been told by a few people no one is better prepared than hes is because of the work he does w/PP's & replays.
