The rains have left the NYB Showcase day in good shape. Also a few nice races at KEE.
Belmont: Race 1: Wild Child: this first time starter has Dixieland Band on the top side. Prado rides.
Race 5: BF Bongard 125 K
Saint Arthur: He is still a maiden but, his last two starts have been in stakes races. Just missing.Dropping 7 lbs a nice price. He's a son of Invasor.
Race 7: Ticndroga 175K
Mystic City: Has 3 wins and 3 2nds in10 tries over the Belmont turf. Had a real sharp workout on the 13th.
Race 9: Empire Classic 250K
Johannesburg Smile: Taking blinkers off today. He should be a little more settled down to win this.
Keeneland:
Race 2: Counting Days: clockers notes from 10/4 good strong finish last 1/8 in 11.3 out in 1:01
First time on the synthetic, looks to be the controlling speed.
Race 8: Cat Lore: clickers notes from 10/14 nice even effort, rider was just sitting. 3rd race back from a layoff, sits just off the pace and blows by them. James Graham has been riding real good the last few days.
Race 9: Gypsy Robin: Clockers notes from 10/16, finished the work with good energy. She is 3/3 over the synthetic. 2/2 at KEE. Best bet of the day.
