Last night I was looking at today's card for Keeneland and in the 10th I really liked Proud Jared, but the morning line for him was 12-1. I wasn't sure why it was so high, but I finally talked myself into putting a show bet on him, anyway. He went off at 17-1 and placed for me. The show ticket paid $8.20. I only bet $10 on him, so I made $41 on the bet.

I've got to stop backing off of good horses because of the morning line.

My motto is bet horses not odds. Handicapp the race without the ML and play your top selections always.

my grandmother always told me to bet what I like and dont look at the board...thats what I tell my wife all the time..who cares about the ml or the current odds especially at keeneland..
