And a Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah and a Happy, Healthy, and prosperous New Year to everyone!!!!!
As for today in NY:
Aqueduct Thanksgiving 2012
Race 1- 5) Rice To Riches plummets for Jacobson, $10,000 below the level of claim. High percentage barn gets most of their wins this way and has the right running style for track playing to closers.
Race 2- 8) Fujiana is clearly the pick by process of elimination. One dirt try was okay and should be completely legged up to manhandle horrific field and outside post adds to the appeal. Now or never.
Race 3- 3) Black Ace goes turf to dirt for hot barn and the right running style in race packed with speed.
4) Undrgroundregulatr- returns from long layoff for barn off to brilliant start. Toby Sheets runs the show in the winter and always does a scary job.
Race 4- 1) Mariel n Kathy is a super nice filly and should get a ground saving trip with mate setting the pace.
2) Cocnut Shrimp moves inside and could easily turn the tables.
3) Heart Of New York and 8) Flashy Gal are a Chad Brown uncoupled entry, both with talent and also helped by the expected fast pace.
5) Listen Boy beat cheaper in Maryland but was ultra Impressive in doing so. Not without a chance at a price.
Race 5- 4) Blue Creek drops a notch packing solid kick and outside dropper is more suspicious than a black punk with a backwards Yankee cap.
Race 6- 5) Point Taken has caught softish turf and mud since return. Prior fast track starts are more than good enough. Question is if he can revert back to that form for low percentage barn.
Race 7- 4) River Tune gets positive trainer change and has raced well against arguably better on firm turf. Versatility a plus.
5) Thisplaceonthird showed nothing in grass debut this past summer and now shows up against special weights. Barn has heated up considerably since then and this one is a must use at a bomb number.
9) Post Pattern is the obvious horse to beat finding weakest field to date. Short price and beatable.
Race 8- 1) This Ones For Phil could be the only speed from the rail. Against the bias but murder if left alone.
6) Small Town Talk sprints for the first time but if they do carve it up, turnback and post will do him well.
Race 9- 1) Dendrite returns fresh and gets significant trainer change. While Martin isn't winning all that much, he's one of the best turf trainers in the country and expect this one to blow this field away on that alone.
Bet against at your own risk.
