Keeneland - Race 4
#8 Empire Knight (8/1 ml)
Might've found something good here. This first-time starter for Chris Clenmt worked heads-up @ Payson Park back on Mar.28 with Summer Front, a multiple graded stakes winner who came out of that drill to win the Miami Mile @ Calder just a few days ago. Following that drill, Empire Knight then worked heads-up on Apr. 4 with Mr. Ryder, another older stakes horse who was last seen running second in the Tropical Turf Stakes @ Calder late last year. Obviously this bodes well for the maiden Empire Knight. Btw, his last drill came head-up with Noble Laureate (given out here the other day), who didn't hit the board but did make a bold move into the turn before getting hung out very wide. Excellent value here, or so it would seem.
HRT record:
89 for 336 (27%)
$763.80 mutuels ($8.56 avg)

I missed this, and the race, but it appears as if the info is/was very solid. Here's the running line, and keep in mind he was beat by Rosario riding the odds on favorite:
EMPIRE KNIGHT was unhurried into stride five wide, was floated out further entering the second turn, continued on willingly but was unable to bridge the gap.
Not a bad run at all for second, he was bet in half. 15.6/2 for the Exacta.
LOL. I just looked at the fractions and realized it was 1 3/16th's (and it was off the turf?). He might have had a better shot on turf, for sure one to watch (as I imagine any maiden working with Summer Front is).
