Win a race and have a stroke right after in the winner's circle. Scary as fuck, really makes you not care about racing. He used to be a little bit shady (a lot), but he's really a good guy and I hope everything is OK.

    Mike Mitchell is battling a brain tumor, which likely caused the seizure - he continues to train his horses, looks forward to Del Mar this summer - a lifelong racetracker doing what he loves

    Passed away today. Remember betting Ever A Friend after Mitchell claimed him with a lifelong buddy of mine...good times. Rest in Peace.
