Dad's #5 Horse

My father, an avid fan of horse racing, passed away 2 weeks ago. While sorting through some of his belongings I can across a treasured horse racing ash tray I remembered from my childhood. Within the last 10 years he had inscribed a 5 on the horse's saddle. I was wondering if anyone knew of a horse worthy of this honor as I attempt to fill in the blanks of all the stories never told.     Impossible to say, as the horse's number changes every time he runs (post-positions are drawn at random).

    I was unaware of the numbering system fluidity. Any amazing #5 horses that come to mindfrom this years or last year's triple crown races?

    If the saddle cloth is green, maybe he was just adding the logical number.
