Expensive maiden-claiming firster for Kory Owens has reportedly shown good speed in recent workouts, at least two of which had today's rider Kayla Stra on board. Very good sign there, particularly when you consider that she has hit with an outrageous 50% winners for this barn (8-for-16). Also remember, she was on board the impressive first-out winner Top Fortitude ($19.00) for this barn a couple of months ago (given out here, btw). Going a bit further, i notice in the Racing Form that this one's sire Rocky Bar has hit @ 21% with his debut runners from a reasonably large sample (78 starters), so this gal has every right to be a precocious sort. Looks like a live one here.
