Quick note on this game, this is Ventura's first start back after suffering an elbow injury and then getting rocked due to terribly diminished velocity in his last start, then being skipped in the rotation (while fortunately avoiding a DL stint with any major injury). There has been talk that he'll be trying to dial down his velocity early in games now (he throws extremely hard, oftentimes touching 100+ on the radar gun), in order to relieve the stress on his arm. That may not work out so well, and of course there's no guarantee that he's 100% right now anyway (quite the opposite, in fact). Good spot to fade Ventura here, especially while laying a short price with an equally talented guy like Wacha.
