Global Hottie failed her only try in a Stake Dec 28, but she’d beaten softer in three straight before that, and came back to easily beat mid-level Allowance foes Jan 18. She tops the charting off that last win, so we’ll give her another chance in the Stakes ranks, HF 15a style. Harlington’s Rose and Tribal Gal finished 1-2 in a minor Stake Dec 28. Harlington’s Rose was also 3rd in a Grade II Jan 19 and again 3rd in a mid-level Allowance Feb 12. We’ll limit her to minor award consideration. Tribal Gal finished 5th in a turf sprint with restricted Stakes foes Jan 24, but was 2nd in a Grade III on dirt in October and could rebound with the return to the main track. Sagebrush Queen hasn't raced since running 3rd in a Grade II July 12. She’s never been out of the Exacta in five sprints at Santa Anita, so she could be a factor once again.

CLOSERS: Fastest in the stretch in recent races at or near this distance have been: Meinertzhageni :24.4 - Global Hottie :24.5 - Harlington's Rose :25.0
