Here's a tool that many professional handicappers use to answer the question if a first time starter or lightly raced horse is in "form" (fit from a condition standpoint) to compete in today's race. A general rule of thumb is horses that haven't raced in 30+ days should either offer ample workout evidence that they are doing well, have a history of performing well off short (or longer) breaks and come from barns that regularly win races. A quality workout analysis report can be a valuable tool to discount false favorites, uncover hidden value or find overlooked contenders. Want more?
