ANALYSIS: The first five runners in the lineup have combined for a dirt route record of 2-for-63. Annie Walker has won two of her five dirt routes and she won her last one vs. NW2L $25,000 claimers Feb 11. She tops the charting, she seems to have more early speed than the rest of the field and her connections are easy to like. Make ‘Walker the HF 15. Prize Taker was fitted with blinkers and she finished 2nd in a like event June 24. J. Ortiz is willing to ride back and maybe she can fill out the Exacta once again. Shades Of Indygo did win a dirt route vs. NY-bred straight Maidens April 30. She has finished in the Trifecta in her two starts at this level and she could be best of the rest. CLOSERS: Fastest in the stretch in recent races at or near this distance have been: Shades Of Indygo and Literata :25.6 – On A Snowy Evening :26.1

Annie Walker looks like she should control the pace up the long backstretch at Belmont and she plots as having a seven length lead entering the stretch. She holds for the win by three lengths and she owns as many dirt route wins (two) as the rest of the field combined. At 2/1 odds or higher, she seems like a solid play.
