ANALYSIS: Adriatic Skye is back on turf after her dirt flop at Del Mar July16. She tops the charting off her last turf sprint when 3rd vs. $12,500 Starter foes June 14 and she is reunited with Alvarado. We’ll give ‘Skye the HF 15a. Wink And Wish is also back from Del Mar off her dirt flop July 16. She has routed on turf of late vs. higher-rated foes, but she did win her lone turf sprint and it was over this course and she could be a bounce back candidate. Bellanza has finished 2nd in three of her four turf sprints and is also back on turf after her 4th vs. $4,000 Starter dirt sprinters July 17. She has good early speed and Gonzalez takes the call. Catch her to win?
CLOSERS: Fastest in the stretch in recent races at or near this distance have been: Adriatic Skye :11.1 – Bellanza :11.7 – Cindari :12.0

The Fractional Charting suggests there will be a speed duel between Bellanza and Cindari as they are both timed at 23.0 for the first fraction call. With them two dueling, it could set up well for an off the pace horse like Adriatic Skye who has the fastest closing fraction of 11.1. ‘Skye also tops the charting in faster than par time (58.2) for the level and that seems to make her a top contender.
