ANALYSIS: This race has five horses on the also-eligible list and four of them appear capable of making an impact if they started, so check scratches before proceeding. If the race goes as drawn Autumn Flower is our HF 15a. She’s been overmatched against straight Maidens, but really hasn’t run that badly. She should appreciate the drop in class, and we’ll be curious to see what kind of price she offers. Ya Ya Girl and Katy Drama obviously merit plenty of respect. Ya Ya Girl just missed with $75,000 non-winners sprinting May 29 and was 3rd with $50,000 nonwinners routing June 28. She’s run better sprinting to this point, but is a contender at this level. Katy Drama just missed with $75,000 non-winners June 5 before running 5th with $50,000 non-winners. The reality is Maiden-Claiming races with a price tag of $50,000 to $75,000 are pretty much interchangeable, so the last two have proven they can probably
graduate at this level. Our longshot is Del Mar Ann. She was likely just prepping in a dirt sprint with straight Maidens July 2 at Los Al. She’ll add blinkers and could perk up and surprise in this spot. CLOSERS: Fastest in the stretch in recent races at or near this distance have been: Katy Drama :28.2 – Betterlethergo :28.8 – Carnival Lights, IT Girl :30.0

A horse that can set the pace without pressure can be dangerous and we call them Lone ‘F’ horses. It appears that Three Blondes will have Lone ‘F’ potential in this race. She only plots in the middle at the finish, but she could get brave if allowed to set the pace with little or no pressure.
