ANALYSIS: Zanbo and Fantastic Mizz are meeting for the fourth time in less than five months. Zanbo faired better in the first two match-ups, but ‘Mizz pressed the pace and held 3rd when Zanbo regressed here Aug 13. ‘Mizz has finished 2nd or 3rd in five consecutive routes while Zanbo had been a win-type routing on the grass until running 4th or 5th in her last four. Both are contenders, but they may be vulnerable on the win end. She’s Flush cost just $20,000 in March and Moger and Co. are well in the black with her. She’s Flush wasn’t beaten too badly by Cal-breds Aug 16 and this return to the claiming ranks may have her in a winning position. Richard Baltas sends out recent claim Vanlose Stairway and Jade With Envy. He took ‘Stairway for this tag July 30, has trained her steadily and doesn’t get ambitious with her. He’s had ‘Envy longer and he’s been slowly hiking the price even though she’s been coming up short. That’s generally a positive sign and she’ll be the HF 15a alternative to She’s Flush. CLOSERS: Fastest in the stretch in recent races at or near this distance have been: Vanlose Stairway :23.0 – Jade With Envy :23.2 – She’s Flush :23.6

Jade With Envy and She’s Flush co-top the charting with Fantastic Mizz one length back in third at the imaginary wire. ‘Mizz plots as the leader entering the stretch and she could get brave with the right trip. Both ‘Envy and ‘Flush figure to be closing in the stretch in what could be an exciting finish.
