    I know we hate tying up $, but what nag outside of mor spirit can win the derby off that list? I would still rather have songbird, and she's not even pointed at the derby.

    Besides, derby is played out now. You want the horse fresh for the triple crown. Maiden, grade 1 to get points, derby. Then you're fresh, lol.

    Also, and this is HUGE.... Before you bet a horse in the future, make sure you can't get a better price in the sire pool.

    Example: mor spirit is 20-1, his sire esky is 30-1. You get 25 horses.

    The Field in Pool One of the KDFW has always been the most attractive option, by far.

    But now that they're offering it in November, it's even more of a no-brainer.
