    Yeah that's bad news betting him under 15-1. I've had a rough couple days, and I don't like much today, but I do have a $50 double to Skookum Spirit in the 7th. Total guess, but he looked like the lone speed to me. Infinite Loop ran too bad to be true last out, and should improve, but I'm gonna try to stretch out and take to grass with this outside horse.

    Carla told me today Monterey Shale wants 2 turns, but didn't get enough from debut. Says he might be too good anyways. We'll see.

    This is Thursday's 8th at SA. Looks so wide open, that we could see the ML. Monterey Shale is a CA bred Hard Spun out of a Tale of the Cat mare, so hopes are high. First race was he wasn't cranked at all and ran ok behind Billy Spawr's highly regarded Boy Howdy, and second out he apparently wasn't totally cranked and ran a bang up race, just looked to need more ground. This is also a race that you can bet to place as well because of the depth. Because good luck finding an exacta partner for this one. Small $ Bejarano and Flavien box for fun too. Maybe toss in Mikey if he stays around to ride. But fuck, this is wager for me.
