Was just going over the charts from Churchill on July 2, when Recruiting Ready last ran in the Bashford Manor. Comparing his fractional times to those of the Debutante (the 2yo filly stakes run right after the Bashford Manor) and the Kelly's Landing (a sprint stakes for older horses later on the card) makes Recruiting Ready look even stronger than he does in the PP's.
Still hard to see him being playable here (especially in a 5-horse field), but who knows, maybe they'll bet the crap out of that Pletcher trainee Sonic Mule (who is right behind Recruiting Ready @ 7/5 ml). Worth noting btw that Pletcher has already won a 2yo stakes at this meet (the Schuylerville on Opening Day) with a similar-looking Monmouth maiden winner, that being Sweet Loretta.
