    Disappointing effort from Cupid today. Thought he was sitting in a really nice spot, and just didn't have what it took when Nyquist came up to challenge.

    Big run up the inside from Connect to score the upset today, with Gun Runner finishing strong right behind him. Those two were never really competitive in the Travers, so i guess you could say that this result very much flatters Arrogate.

    Any thoughts on this?

    This year the 3 year old colts reminded me of the 3 y.o fillies..hard to pick the top prospect when they all take turns beating each other...and actually the 3 y.o filly division has a clear best in songbird.. a bit of role reversal

    I've thought all year that Songbird was the best 3yo of either sex. Unfortunately, they never gave her a shot to prove it.

    Hard to say if that's true nowadays though, considering the gigantic effort that Arrogate came up with in the Travers. It'll be interesting to see what he does in the Classic.
