No Dozing looks intriguing at 50-1. Ran 2nd to Mo Town in the Remsen. Scheduled to run the Sam F Davis next month so we'll see how he's progressed.

Definitely an under-the-radar type. Looks like he'll face McCracken in Sam Davis.

The two bombs I have a soft spot for in this round of the KY Derby future wager are listed below.

    Guest Suite

    Gunnevera

Also something of note, I was told via the the Jr group, he would choose Mo Town for A. Dutrow over any TAP runners at this time. He's very high on Mo Town.

Since losing Not This Time to injury, does Romans have anyone else in the mix?

All others is 7/2. This used to be pool 1, and I'm pretty sure we considered 3/2 a good price with the point system. We'll see what happens. A lot of favorites today means everbody has a lot of ammo left.

Classic Empire is currently the individual favorite @ 9/2.

I'm always amazed that people are willing to take that kind of price (or anything remotely close to it) several months before the race.

Not in my opinion. Certainly no lower than that.

That's not to say that 20/1 (or any other number you choose) couldn't turn into a good value down the road, but at this point, we're simply too far away. Each horse has minimum 2 races left to run before Derby Day, and of course many horses regress, get injured, don't like the longer distances, etc. Not to mention 20 horses in the gate on race day (leading to heavy traffic and potential bad trips), potential for an off track, not liking the Churchill surface, getting spooked by the 100,000 screaming people, etc. It's really like walking a tightrope or dancing thru raindrops to latch onto a Derby winner this early. That's why you need a big price.

5/2 on the field seems like a fucking score. I was playing golf and didn't get any more. I can name like 10 horses I really like, and I bet 10 more emerge.

Good one today in the Sam Davis. I like No Dozing in this one over McCracken.

    9-3-8

    Good Luck All!

McCraken wins with new track and stakes record.

No Dozing starting dozing at the far turn when McCraken catapulted by him.
