Great video here. He had been acting up the last couple of days (fighting the rider in his morning gallops), and he began doing it here as well, but once he got his wheels under him, it was a thing of beauty.

As long as he gets a clean trip (easier said than done in the Derby), and as long as he doesn't get involved in any kind of pace meltdown (I don't think he will), he figures plenty tough to beat. I think the extra distance will only help his chances. Even in the above workout, it looks like he wanted to go around again. Seems like he can run all day, and I heard Pletcher make comments to that effect before he won the Florida Derby.
Of course, we all know about Pletcher's 1-for-45 record in the Derby. That ain't good. But in my opinion, this is the strongest contender he's ever brought over. And word from those who know him is that he's been exuding confidence about this horse. I really like this one's chances. We'll see next Saturday.
