Really nice move by McCraken this morning. Looked smooth as silk in my opinion, showing no ill effects from his recent ankle injury.

Love the fact his trainer (Ian Wilkes) has won 2 previous Derbies with Unbridled and Street Sense (under Carl Nafzger). Also love that Churchill is his home surface, much like Street Sense had already won the BC Juvenile @ Churchill, btw. Seems as likely as any aside from Always Dreaming to like the 1 1/4 miles, and he has the preferred running style for this event. Always Dreaming will likely have the jump on him turning for home, but in my opinion, this guy (and perhaps Tapwrit) have the best shot at running him down. If anyone does. Should be a great race.

What do you like about Tapwrit? He was a Tampa superstar that never translates anywhere else. He was actually losing ground in the Bluegrass stretch run.

McCraken has become a must play. I liked Gunnevera more than him a week ago, don't think I can say the same right now.
