new surfaces???/

Iam only 44 yrs old..but it seem's like a world away..When you wonder if the track would be fast or sloopy...with all the new kinds of tracks out there..What's the forums thought's on this subject?? Do you thingthis is good for the game..I mean we are still using 100yr's plus jockey club scale weights for horse's..do you thing we need change..records have stood for year's..What doesthis do for history??Are the winners on new surface's( anew one every other day) belong in the history books next to champion's like seattle slew,swaps, ManofWar..would like to hear ever ones thought's on this?? sk

    There are definitely a lot of negatives to the change, but ultimately the safety and health benefits for both horses and jockeys will make things better for the game long term.

    As for handicapping, it just adds to the long list of variables.

    What I don't like is how a lot of great 3 year old champions get retired so early, but I guess I understand it with all the money involved in breeding.
