Preakness Wrap Up & Start Talking about the Belmont!

Well I dont think anyone can argue that Big Brown will be heavily favored to win the triple crown, an in hand victory for the 2nd leg, We can argue that this was a weak field he matched up against today with a handfull with only a maiden victory. Gayego was a little disappointing but with the hard bump start and then beeing hurried to get to the lead might have taken too much out of him and ended up 2nd to last. I thought both Icebad Crane (3rd) and Stevil (5th) ran solid races, i Liked Icebad Crane for some exotics but i didnt think stevil would be that high at all, Yankee bravo dont think really took to the track and kentucky bear all his hype wasnt lived up too! Looked like he was stuck behind horses but still didnt make any moves. Racecar Rhapsody and Macho Again both showed some late kick to get 4th and 2nd respectively. Do i think they should run in the belmont? YES, i think both have a solid running style suited for the distance, but is it good for the horses probally not, they have nothing to prove right now, they got a lot of other good races to strut thier stuff! Overall i thought it was a good race, a lot of wierd betting, The PLACE on BIg Brown paid better then the WIN which was funny, and a lot must of singled or used Big Brown in the Tri because Macho Again paid some good money along with Crane and Tri was only 336......


On to the Belmont!

First off keeping on the wagering, i think a lot of people will bet big brown just so they have a ticket with him winning the triple crown! just a thought though, but Looking to see the return of Denis of Cork, Pryo, maybe Recapturetheglory, maybe either Racecar Rhapsody or Macho Again ( i think the only 2 that might try out of the preakness other then the Fav) Colonel John, Cowboy Cal, Cool Coal Man, and maybe big truck back in the mix, and then a lot of hype on a horse name casino drive (might mistaken on the exact name) but I havent seen this one run yet but believe he is undefeated, latest win was the peterpan which was impressive by others views. Big Brown looks to be solid and should have a lot in the tank.... Look foward to a great few weeks leading up to it.

little dissapointed that he is beeing retired for an estimated 50 Million (that beeing a horseplayers view and not an owner) because I would like to see how far he goes before beeing defeated or maybe atleast a 4 YO campaign like Curlin! But I guess i will be happy with what I got and enjoy horse racing on a daily basis with all the greats that run around track across our nation!

Duck your analysis is QUACK , QUACK and all you have to do is look at the times, Kentucky Bear the hype horse, I stated on the conf. call is so much slower than B.B, and if you think Icaab Crane and Stevil are in the class of B.B. you are out there. There aren't many horses that can travel from Calit to Ky, back to Cali and then back to Baltimore and run strong off 2 weeks rest in Gayego he showed it today and couldn't even run 2nd,3rd, or 4th. Yankee Bravo is a bum and you should of read my write up on him in Rightangle post and the only person that made a score on him is Discrett Cat in the matchups. Way to go D.C.!!!!!!!!!! If you were are real horse player you would of known at this time Colonel John is being pointed to the Swaps and is back in Cali and CowboyCal in going back to the turf and Louie R. won't run RecapturetheGlory in the Belmont off a fever. Casion Drive is the hype horse and he did win the Peter Pan and I hope he takes money in the Belmont so I can get 3/5 on Big Brown. Today Big Brown at 1 minute to post had 4.8 million and the next closet horse was Gayego at 590,000, WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!!! We all have seen the next TRIPLE CROW WINNER TWICE AND LET'S JUST ENJOY THIS RUN!!!!!!!!!


We don't have Street Sense, Hard Spun and Any Given Saturday running this year as they have been retired to breeding. The only reason Curlin is running is the owenership is in so much shit they couldn't sell him off with all the negatives going against him and I'm wondering if Steve A. is going to run him in the fake surfaces and not carry him overseas.

Dont want to get in a rift with you FB but in my defense;
I Didnt say anything about any of the horses yesterday beeing in the same class as Big Brown, Which was apperant in the style of his vicotry, and this is apperant in the statement "a handfull of horses only won thier maiden" does it get anymore obvious? It was a weak field! And I also stated that Crane and Stevil ran solid races for a couple of horses who had thier highest beyer in the 80's, and crane not even running in a Graded Stakes! i thought both horses showed up good, Now granted they didnt win, but no one would have beat big brown yesterday....

Your comment about Colonel John and Cowboy Cal, everyone is always pointed somewhere right? But things change and owners make demands trainers change their minds, and they run.... Gayego went back to Cali, and decided to come back, so we have 3 weeks and a lot of things can happen in that time.

And any horse player, horse lover, Horse racing fan, and Me included is hoping Big Brown is the Next Triple Crown winner! I wish I could be there to see it!
