Race 6 - #2 De Car Guy (6-1) Is returning to a synthetic surface, to a race restricted to 3 year olds and to the claiming ranks. He has two nice maintenance drills since his last and looks spotted just right by trainer Bob Hess Jr. He has been showing good late run on the turf and should be flying late under jockey Joel Rosario.
Race 8 - #12 Gooch's Dream (12-) Is making his first start off a long layoff for his new barn. Mike Machowsky has good numbers with layoff runners of 180+ days and this looks to be coming back well, especially with that key 7 furlong work on 7/31. He should not be too far from the early pace as he is fresh. Gets a good outside post for his return and one of the barns go to guys takes the call. He looks well meant today and could surprise in the night cap.
