#6 Jehan (5/1 ml)

Originally i had a play on #7 Warm Shower here, but with the race off the turf and Warm Shower scratched, i'm looking to Jehan. That one is coming a good third at Churchill behind Smokin Bayou, who returned to win the Colleen Stakes by 5 lengths. Second-place finisher Northern Belle has also returned to win. Meets a field of mostly first-timers here and should hold the edge.

Jehan looked to have it in the bag turning for home, but then proceeded to hit the rail (on her own) and was tiring badly during the final furlong. She doesn't appear to suited to routing at all, if this race is any indication.

Might be worth one more try when turning back to a sprint, as she was well in hand turning into the stretch today despite stalking some very fast fractions for the distance. Would have to think this race would help with her conditioning as well. On the down side, she's beginning to look like a trial maiden.
