Race 4 - #8 Concettina (3-1) This closer was sent to the lead last time versus tougher as the track played towards closers. She is taking the blinkers off and is drawn towards the outside today. She is the best closer in a race that looks to have enough speed to set her late kick. She should get a great trip from off the pace. The drop in class is probably a good thing considering they have already made in excess of $20k with her. They paid 12k for her and if she gets claimed today they get their initial investment back and with what she has already won and the possible purse prize they did quite well with her. Oh by the way If you have not noticed trainer Jeff Mullins is red hot over the last week or so and he is known to win race in bunches. She is aggressively placed to win today.
Race 6 - #8 Winning Tactics (9/2) Is making his third start off the long layoff today. Ran a solid second last race and has a nice series if works coming into today's race. His early speed will have him sitting just off the pace and he should be pounce as they turn for home. Look for him to be tough run down late under jockey Joel Rosario who is a strong finisher. Trainer Marty Jones should get his first winner of the meet here today.
Race 8 - #9 Seven Lucky J's (5-1) Has been steadily improving in each and every race. The two races he comes out of were both won in gate to wire fashion and today's race looks to be won from off the pace with additional 1/2 a furlong and the number of horses who look to be vying for the early lead. Jockey Joel Rosario should have him well placed being drawn toward the outside and trainer Caesar Dominguez is a capable trainer even though his numbers to date may indicate that. When all is said and done we think we will get more than 5-1 on this colt today.

From gate to wire Southerncalracing.com is your best bet!
