Del Mar - Race 4
#2 Owen Roe O'Neill (3/1 ml)
Normally i wouldn't back an 0-for-7 maiden, but this one is a little different. He ran a good second over the polytrack surface, in a running time that compares favorably to the other races on the card (including a stakes). He was also claimed out of that rcae by Hollendorfer, who hits at 26% off the claim. What's better, Hollendorfer claimed this horse for HIMSELF. That's huge. Comes in with a nice workout since the claim, and looks ready to fire.
HRT record:
4 for 16 (25%)
$30.70 mutuels ($7.68 avg)

I'll be pulling for ya.
#1 Augment (6/1 ml)
This colt had been training in sensational fashion heading into the Sawps Stakes, and i gave him a small shot at the upset there. He lost all chance early when checked badly and dropping back to last. The race is a complete throwout. Catches a softer field here, and switches back to Migliore, who was abaord for his pre-Swaps win. Should run well today at a price.
