from PA Sport:
Alain de Royer-Dupre hopes a poor workout earlier this week will not hinder the chances of Zarkava in the Qatar Prix Vermeille at Longchamp on Sunday.
The three-year-old is unbeaten in five career outings and notably took the scalp of the high-class Goldikova in the French 1000 Guineas in May.
Zarkava heads the betting for the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe on October 5 but failed to shine in a gallop on Tuesday morning.
"I have looked at the race but the opposition is not the problem - the problem is how the filly is," said De Royer-Dupre.
"The gallop was not great but she looks very well now, so we will just have to see.
"The ground at Longchamp is a little bit soft but it should be fine if they do not have any more rain.
"If there is more rain it could be too soft, but she will definitely run."
